Research
The Inclusive Prehabilitation (I-Prehab) Project aims to find a better understanding of how prehab services are accessed by cancer patients, and if and why prehab guidance is adhered to. We will then develop and test the feasibility of a toolkit to support cancer workers to raise awareness and encourage participation in prehab services for cancer patients.
As the I-Prehab Research Assistant, I work within a large team to support this mixed method research.
In my role as Velindre Research Assistant, I work closely with clinicians at Velindre Cancer Centre to deliver mixed method and observational research projects.
Current projects:
Inclusive prehab (I-Prehab) to address inequity in cancer outcomes: mixed-methods evaluation research to enhance access, acceptance and adherence. HSDR project: NIHR 151668
Past projects:
The feasibility of measuring taste change recovery following radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. Velindre Charity Small Grants Scheme.
Velindre patient satisfaction with psychology support services. Velindre Charity Small Grants Scheme.
