Overview

I am an experienced tutor and module leader, having led nine modules in undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes.

I am currently a Director of Digital Education and the AI Champion for the School of Law and Politics. I am also the Lead for Multiple Choice Tests across ten undergraduate modules. I am an external examiner for a number of Master's programmes at NTU. I have previously been the programme leader of the GDL at Cardiff, and the programme leader of the LLB at another institution.

My areas of interest are in Contract Law, Trusts Law and Land Law. I am a module leader for Land Law. Pedagogically, my main area of interest is in authentic forms of learning and assessment.

I currently teach exclusively on the undergraduate modules for Contract Law, Equity & Trusts and Land Law at Cardiff.  I have experience of teaching and assessing the following modules/ units. Biography

I am a (very!) experienced tutor and module leader, having led nine modules in undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes. I have previously been the programme leader of the GDL at Cardiff and the programme leader of the LLB at another institution. I am a Director of Digital Education and the AI Champion for the School of Law and Politics. I am also the Lead for Multiple Choice Tests across ten undergraduate modules and a module leader for Land Law.

I am the external examiner for a number of Master’s programmes at NTU Law School.  I have previously been an external examiner at the University of South Wales, and an assessor on the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme.

I describe myself as a ‘pracademic’ with an interest in the pedagogy of, and developing, forms authentic assessment and learning; my recent external conference presentations and workshops are listed below:

  • Setting The Standard: Using Multiple Choice Tests To Enhance Feedback and Reliably Evaluate Student Performance, Assessment and Feedback Symposium, Advance HE, 7 November 2023. A case study based upon this session is due to be published in Autumn 2024.

I am a qualified solicitor and a Fellow of Advance HE. I am also a member of the Association of Law Teachers and the Connecting Legal Education network.
