Overview
Barrister with over 25 years experience of civil litigation practice; qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and called to the Bar in 2005. Ranked annually as a leading barrister in both The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. A former member of Old Square Chambers (London) and Doughty Street Chambers (London). Extensive experience acting for national legal expenses insurers and trade unions in high-value, complex personal injury claims before the High Court. Worked closely with leading UK expert witnesses in medicine, engineering and accounting. Involved in nationally reported cases including Article 2 prisoner suicide inquests, multiple fatality accidents, CICA appeals relating to serious sexual assaults, and catastrophic injury claims involving brain, spinal, and orthopaedic trauma arising from industrial accidents and RTAs. A proud LLB and LPC graduate of Cardiff University.
Teaching
I am joint module lead for Opinion Writing and Legal Research and the module lead for Civil Advocacy. I also teach on the Trial Advocacy, Civil Litigation, Submission Advocacy and Drafting modules. I also have responsibility for supervising LLM students.
