Teams and roles for Charlotte Robison-Smith

Overview

I am interested in freshwater pollution and the implementation of effective nature-based solutions. As a KTP associate, the aim of my current research is to support the transition from traditional engineered flood defences towards distributed Natural Flood Management (NFM) approaches in Wales, which have various ecological co-benefits for the surrounding environment. My main research focus areas include ecotoxicology: biological assays, pollution monitoring, chemical analysis; and hydrological monitoring.

Funded through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme, in my current role I will act as a conduit between two Wales-based partners, Cardiff University and Natural Resource Wales, supporting the translation of academic research into practical application.
