Overview
I commenced my PhD in January 2024 under the supervision of Dr Tomos Owen. The thesis is comparative in nature, examining the writing of Welsh and Nigerian authors (in English) and querying the similarities in these writings with particular focus on ideas of Postcolonialism and Identity. I am currently writing on ideas of the Grotesque in the writings of Dylan Thomas and Amos Tutuola.
My academic journey began at Aberystwyth University in 2018, where I earned a First Class Honours degree in English Literature. In 2022, I completed my Masters at the University of Exeter, graduating with a Distinction.
Following my Masters, I took a hiatus from academia to work in the insurance industry, focusing on Counter Fraud, I maintain this role alongside my studies.
