Overview
I am a Research Associate (post-doctoral) within the Accounting and Finance Section at Cardiff Business School. My research focus on public sector accounting, management, and public finance (fiscal studies). Previously, I completed my PhD at CARBS on fiscal decentralisation and healthcare service performance in China. Also, I did research on Welsh fiscal sustainbility at the Wales Governance Centre, funded by Cardiff University (School of Law and Politics) and the Welsh Government. I have published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Public Administration and Local Government Studies. Currently, I am working on projects about auditing and commercialisation activities in the higher education and children care sectors of the UK.
Prior to my PhD, I earned distinction degrees in MSc Accounting and Finance and MSc Social Science Research Methods at Cardiff University, and a Bachelor of Economics in Public Finance from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (Wuhan, PRC).
