Overview
On Maternity Leave
As the Communications and Events in the Staff Internal Communications Team, I am a part of the Learning and Teaching Academy and the Welsh Language Academy. I manage and develop the communications strategy and work according to the objectives outlined in the strategy, across the following communication channels:

- Learning and Teaching Academy team newsletter
- Cardiff's Learning and Teaching Academy Blog

I work with colleagues to manage, develop, deliver and evaluate our annual CPD programme of online and in-person events, and support the University’s Welsh Language Academy and Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol branch with their events too.
Biography
My interest in working in education began at a young age, which made me continue to university after school. I studied Events Management at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I found my love for the events and comms industry. I managed to combine both education and events in my first job at Estyn as an Events and Communications Officer.
I then started in this role, new to the university in July 2022. I love working here as it's given me the opportunity to learn new skills and systems and discover new comms approaches.

Outside of work, I love long walks with my dog, Toffi; spending time with family and friends; and planning my next holiday, whether it’s skiing, island-hopping, city-breaking or sunshine chilling.
