Biography
I was born on 15th May 1969 in the city of Ruse, Bulgaria. I graduated the Mathematical College “Baba Tonka” in Ruse, Bulgaria with excellent marks and gold medal in 1987. Then I studied Computer Science and Electronics, Electro technics and Automatics at the University of Ruse, Bulgaria and graduated in 1992 with excellent marks and medal as MSc in Computer Science and Dipl. Engineer in Electronics, Electro-techniques and Automatics. I worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Informatics in the University of Ruse from 1996 until 2001.
In October, 2000 I came to Cardiff and enrolled as a Research PhD student at the Systems Engineering Division, School of Engineering at Cardiff University. I obtained Doctor of Philosophy Degree, PhD in July, 2005 with subject of her thesis “Enterprise Collaborative Portals enabling Business Process Modelling”.
Initially, I started working as a researcher at School of Computer Science, Cardiff University in September, 2005 working on JISC VRE project ISME (Integration and Steering of Multi-Site Experiments). I worked on various research project and worked also as Teaching Assistant at that department until June, 2010. Later on I joined the Seren project at the School of Engineering, Cardiff University in July, 2010 and worked there until December, 2012. In the meantime, I was also working as an Associate Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, Cardiff University from October, 2010 until July, 2011.
I also worked as a Software Architect at Accelero Digital Solutions Ltd. from January, 2013 until May, 2013. Later on I started working as a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Informatics at Cardiff University. Currently, I work as KTP associate on a project between COMSC, Cardiff University and a financial company Equiniti. My role is to develop a self-serve financial investment tool assisting the investors in their choice of portfolio based on Data Mining to establish their profile and find similar customers and recommendation based on Artificial Intelligence algorithm and Statistical Analysis powered by Machine Learning conversation.
