Biography
Muhammad Helal is a PhD researcher at Cardiff University, working in collaboration with Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (OREC) as industrial partner under the ADOreD (Accelerating the Deployment of Offshore Wind using DC Technology) PhD program. His PhD research focuses on exploring offshore wind farm modelling in order to optimise accuracy and fast computation . This will enhance the reliability and cost-effectiveness of offshore wind farm connections.
Prior to this, He pursued the Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems, studying at the University of Nottingham (UK), the University of Oviedo (Spain), and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal) in 2019. He spent several years in academia working as a Lecturer in undergraduate level.
