Carrer Overview
I am a Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging (BSc) at Cardiff University and an HCPC-registered diagnostic radiographer. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Radiography from the University of Sri Lanka and a PhD from Chiba University, Japan in the year 2017. I served as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Radiography, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, where I accumulated 12 years of experience in academia.
My research expertise lies primarily in quantitative methods, encompassing multi-disciplinary collaboration, image analysis, and patient participation. My current research interests include Healthcare Education, machine learning techniques, breast density assessment, feature and texture evaluation, and radio-morphometry analysis.
I am open to supervising postgraduate students in the following areas: general radiography, dental radiography, mammography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
