Overview
I gained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol in 2010, and after this I completed Dental Foundation Training in the South West Deanery. Over the next 12 years I worked as a General Dental Practitioner in several general dental practices, mainly within the NHS including high need areas in South Wales.
In 2016 I became a member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and since 2019 I have been an examiner for Royal College of Surgeons of England membership exams.
Since 2017 I have been a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Cardiff Dental School, where I have undertaken module lead roles for Operative Dentistry and Cariology, and as a Year Lead for Year 5 BDS.
In 2023 I undertook the Cardiff University Education Fellowship Programme and gained Fellowship with Advance HE.
Since 2024 I have been appointed as Assessment & Feedback Lead for the School of Dentistry, where i am responsible for overseeing all assessment processes in the School, and have taken a leading role in curriculum development for the undergradute revalidation project.
In 2026 I was appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry.
I am passionate about using my General Practice experience to prepare students for a life in Dentistry, whatever path they choose. I have a particular interest in Minimal Intervention Dentistry and Cariology.
