Overview
I am a first-year PhD student within the School of Psychology, supervised by Dr Katy Burgess, Dr Patricia Gasalla Canto, and Prof Chris Kent (University of Bristol). My PhD is funded by the Welsh Graduate School for the Social Sciences (WGSSS) through the ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership.
Broadly, my research interests combine the application of cognitive science, educational psychology and the role of AI innovation within education. My PhD specifically seeks to examine AI-assisted retrieval practice in higher education across individual differences, aiming to clarify from whom and under what conditions generative AI tools most effectively support active learning.
Teaching
I am a Graduate Tutor within the School of Psychology, delivering seminars to first-year undergraduate students covering a range of modules at Level 4 and 5.
