Overview
I am a PhD student in the Geometry, Algebra, Mathematical Physics, and Topology group under the supervision of Dr Pieter Naaijkens. My project focus so far has been quasi-particle excitations in topologically ordered quantum spin systems, looking at the representations of the C*-algebra of quasi-local observables and how these can be used to obtain the modular tensor categories which detail the emergent excitations.
Alongside this, I am a graduate tutor passionate about empowering students in their abilities and studies. I organise regular meetings for the Women in Maths and Computer Science (WiMaCS) society to ensure a supportive network in a male-dominated industry.
