Overview

I'm Ka Man (Ambrose) Yim. My research area is Applied and Computational Topology, the study of algorithms and theory supporting methods in topological data analysis (TDA). In particular, I focus on the following topics:

  • Topological and Geometric Inference (recovering geometric and topological information of a shape using finitely many observations)
  • Topology and Dynamical Systems (namely Conley and Morse Theory, the use of algebraic topology to understand dynamical systems, and vice versa)
  • Application of TDA methods to machine learning and data science

I am also keen to foster collaborations with partners in industry and the public sector on data science projects.
