Overview

I am currently an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the School of Computer Science and Informatics, and a member of the Visual Computing research group. I am also a committee member of British Standards Institution (BSI). I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Waterloo, Canada. I received the Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 2021, joint with University of Waterloo from 2019 to 2021. I used to be a visiting professor in the School of AI at Dalian University of Technology; a visiting scholar in National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan; a research assistant with Intel; a research intern with Microsoft Research and Alibaba Group. I am a Senior Member of IEEE.

My research interests span multimedia computing, perceptual image processing, and computational vision. In recent years, I have published over 60 refereed papers in these areas, including those published in prestigious journals and international conferences. My research has achieved real-world impacts on the development of low-level vision techniques at Alibaba Cloud.
