Overview

I am a Research Associate at Cardiff Business School working on the NIHR-funded Creating Healthy Jobs project. My research sits in applied microeconomics, focusing on labour markets, gender inequalities, and public policy, with a particular interest in how job quality and institutional environments shape health and wellbeing.

My work involves the quantitative analysis of UK administrative and survey data, using causal inference methods to examine how policies and institutional structures affect employment outcomes and social welfare. My doctoral research examines how gender representation in English local government influences public spending and social outcomes, including care provision and the prevalence and reporting of domestic abuse.

I aim to produce research that is both academically rigorous and policy-relevant, contributing to debates on job quality, inequality, and the social determinants of health.
