Rwy'n aelod o'r Grŵp Ymchwil Cyfrifiadura Gweledol. Rwyf hefyd yn Gyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Technoleg Ffactorau Dynol rhyngddisgyblaethol sy'n cynnwys yr Ysgolion Peirianneg, Seicoleg a Chyfrifiadureg a Gwybodeg. Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cwmpasu ystod o bynciau mewn golwg gyfrifiadurol, o brosesu delweddau lefel isel (2D a 3D) i strategaethau modelu a chydnabod gwrthrychau lefel uchel, ac ymasiad data/gwybodaeth. Am flynyddoedd lawer gweithiais ar ddelweddaeth 3D gyda chymwysiadau mewn adnabod gwrthrychau ac archwilio gwrthrychau mecanyddol yn awtomatig. Mae'r ymchwil hon yn parhau ym maes peirianneg gefn - llunio modelau CAD o ddata pwynt wedi'i sganio o wyneb gwrthrychau peirianneg. Mae gweithgareddau ymchwil diweddar eraill wedi ymchwilio i eigenanalysis o ddelweddau lle mae rhai algorithmau craidd wedi'u datblygu i adeiladu a dysgu modelau eigen. Mae'r gwaith hwn wedi'i gymhwyso i animeiddio wyneb cymhellol sy'n cael ei yrru gan symudiad dynol a lleferydd. Un maes arall sydd o ddiddordeb cyfredol mewn ymasiad data/gwybodaeth, lle mae fy ymchwil wedi cael ei yrru gan geisiadau amddiffyn/milwrol gyda chyllid gan British Aerospace a'r Ganolfan Technoleg Amddiffyn Fusion Gwybodaeth (www.difdtc.com) a ariennir gan y Weinyddiaeth Amddiffyn.
