Cyfarwyddwr Academaidd (DClinPsy)
- Ar gael fel goruchwyliwr ôl-raddedig
Trosolwyg
Fi yw Cyfarwyddwr Academaidd Rhaglen Ddoethurol De Cymru mewn Seicoleg Glinigol (DClinPsy). Mae'r rôl yn cynnwys arwain cydrannau academaidd y rhaglen, goruchwylio ymchwil ar lefel doethuriaeth, a darparu addysgu. Rwyf hefyd yn cyfrannu at yr MSc mewn Anhwylderau Seicolegol Plant a fi yw'r Seicolegydd Clinigol ac yn Gyd-ymchwilydd ar gyfer yr Uned Ymchwil Asesu Niwroddatblygiadol.
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn perthyn i ddau gategori eang. Yn gyntaf, mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn datblygu anawsterau emosiynol ac ymddygiadol mewn plant a phobl ifanc a'r ffordd orau o ymyrryd mewn problemau o'r fath. Mae diddordebau penodol yn cynnwys rôl gweithredu gweithredol, datblygiad emosiynol ac empathi, ffactorau rhianta (rôl iechyd meddwl rhieni, galluoedd myfyriol rhieni ac emosiwn a fynegwyd gan rieni) wrth ddatblygu anawsterau emosiynol ac ymddygiadol plentyndod. Yn ail, ond yn gorgyffwrdd o ran damcaniaethau perthnasol, mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn deall straen/llosgi sy'n gysylltiedig â gwaith a'r ffordd orau o ddarparu cefnogaeth seicolegol i staff sy'n gweithio gyda chymhleth poblogaethau (e.e. y rhai sy'n derbyn gofal mewn gwasanaethau diogel, digartrefedd neu leoliadau gofal cymdeithasol/iechyd meddwl eraill).
Yn glinigol, cyn gweithio ar y rhaglen seicoleg glinigol, gweithiais am chwe blynedd a hanner mewn lleoliadau diogel gyda throseddwyr, gan gynnwys mewn gwasanaeth Triniaeth Seiliedig ar Feddwl i ddynion, ac arwain gwasanaeth asesu a thriniaeth arbenigol mewn carchar menywod. Mae fy ngwaith clinigol ar hyn o bryd yn annibynnol (yn bennaf yn cynnal asesiadau o rieni sy'n ymwneud ag achosion gofal plant ar gyfer llysoedd teulu ac awdurdodau lleol).
Ardaloedd o ddiddordeb
Ymlyniad a thrawma, anawsterau personoliaeth, iechyd meddwl fforensig/risg, magu plant, datblygu anawsterau emosiynol ac ymddygiadol mewn plant/pobl ifanc, galluedd meddyliol, digartrefedd, seicoleg iechyd clinigol, straen sy'n gysylltiedig â gwaith staff a gorflinder.
