Rwy'n fyfyriwr PhD yn y Ganolfan Biomecaneg a Biobeirianneg Versus Arthritis ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, lle rwy'n ymchwilio i'r rhyngweithio rhwng biomecaneg a bioleg mewn meinweoedd ar y cyd. Fy uchelgais yw dod yn academydd sefydledig ym maes poen mewn cyflyrau cyhyrysgerbydol, trwy ddarparu ymchwil effaith uchel a datblygu dulliau newydd o fodelu mecanweithiau clefydau.
Rwyf wedi cyfrannu at ddatblygu'r model esgyrn osteocyte mecanyddol 3D gyda phwyslais arbennig ar ryngweithio esgyrn â'r nerfau ar lwytho mecanyddol a llid i ddatgelu mecanweithiau poen. Mae gen i brofiad helaeth o ymchwil mewn bioleg gyhyrysgerbydol sy'n canolbwyntio ar fecanweithiau moleciwlaidd sy'n ymwneud ag ymatebion mecanyddol ac llidiol gan egluro mecanweithiau signalau newydd sy'n rheoleiddio bioleg esgyrn a nerfau, i ddarparu targedau therapiwtig a diagnostig ar gyfer poen mewn clefyd cyhyrysgerbydol.
Rwy'n aelod o rwydwaith OAtech+ sy'n gweithio i wella cydweithio rhwng ymchwilwyr o Goleg y Gwyddorau Ffisegol a Pheirianneg ac yn cynrychioli ymchwilwyr ac yn hwyluso ymgysylltiad ar draws Prifysgol Caerdydd.
