Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Reolwr Cyswllt Ymchwil a Threial yn y Ganolfan Treialon Ymchwil, Coleg y Gwyddorau Biofeddygol a Bywyd, Prifysgol Caerdydd.
Mae gen i gefndir mewn addysg blynyddoedd cynnar, gwaith ieuenctid a chymunedol, ac ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd. Nod fy ngwaith ymchwil yw gwella iechyd a lles plant a phobl ifanc a lleihau anghydraddoldebau iechyd.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n rheoli gwasanaethau Profi a Dysgu: Allgymorth gydag arbenigedd iechyd i bobl sy'n profi digartrefedd - optimeiddio a threialu hapdreial rheoledig clwstwr peilot.
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys:
- Methodolegau ansoddol a chreadigol.
- Ymyriadau yn yr ysgol.
- Dychymyg, cyfathrebu a chydweithio.

Ymchwil
Prosiectau cydweithredol diweddar
Profi a Dysgu: Gwasanaethau allgymorth gydag arbenigedd iechyd i bobl sy'n profi digartrefedd - optimeiddio a threialu ar hap clwstwr peilot
Mae'r Weinyddiaeth Tai, Cymunedau a Llywodraeth Leol (MHCLG) yn buddsoddi £15 miliwn i wella'r sylfaen dystiolaeth a'r ddealltwriaeth o'r hyn sy'n gweithio i roi terfyn ar gysgu ar y stryd. Profi a Dysgu yw'r rhaglen gyntaf o werthuso ar sail treialon mewn digartrefedd yn y DU, gan brofi wyth ymyriad yn drylwyr a all wneud gwahaniaeth wrth roi terfyn ar gysgu ar y stryd ac atal digartrefedd. Mae Prifysgol Caerdydd yn arwain y gwerthusiad o allgymorth digartrefedd gydag ymyrraeth arbenigedd iechyd, a fydd yn cael ei optimeiddio a'i werthuso wedyn trwy dreial rheoledig ar hap clwstwr peilot.
3P: Optimeiddio a dichonoldeb rhaglen rianta Triple P ar gyfer cyflwyno o bell
Nod yr astudiaeth hon yw asesu dichonoldeb cynnal hap-dreial rheoledig o Grŵp Triple P, ymyriad a ddyluniwyd i helpu rhieni i ddatblygu strategaethau i feithrin perthnasoedd a rheoli ymddygiad eu plant yn hyderus.
Gweithwyr Cymdeithasol mewn Ysgolion (SWIS)
Yn dilyn tair astudiaeth beilot o waith cymdeithasol yn yr ysgol. Mae treial SWIS yn gwerthuso'r rhaglen ar raddfa fwy i sefydlu'r effaith y mae'n ei chael ar rai canlyniadau gofal cymdeithasol ac addysgol pwysig.
Ymchwil yn Ysbrydoli Me (RIME)
I nodi Diwrnod Canser y Byd (4 Chwefror), lansiodd prosiect RIME becyn adnoddau addysg ar gyfer disgyblion cyfnod allweddol tri (11 – 14 oed). Nod y pecyn yw gwella llythrennedd, cymhwysedd digidol ac ysbrydoli llwybrau gyrfa trwy ddod â'r celfyddydau a'r gwyddorau ynghyd. Crëwyd dwy ffilm rymus gan y beirdd enwog Ifor ap Glyn ac Owen Sheers.
Astudiaeth ffrindiau FRANK
Mae'r astudiaeth hon yn gwerthuso effeithiolrwydd a chost-effeithiolrwydd ymyrraeth ffrindiau FRANK i atal a lleihau defnydd anghyfreithlon o gyffuriau gyda dyluniad treialon rheoledig clwstwr ar hap. Arweiniodd pandemig COVID-19 at ganslo pob sesiwn cyflwyno ymyrraeth a chaewyd yr astudiaeth yn ffurfiol ym mis Mai 2022.
Treial Jack
Nod y treial rheoledig ar hap clwstwr hwn yw pennu effeithiolrwydd ymyrraeth a gynlluniwyd i leihau cyfraddau beichiogrwydd anfwriadol yn eu harddegau a deall yr amodau cyd-destunol yn well trwy werthusiad proses.
Monitro Gweithgaredd Corfforol mewn Lleoliad Atgyfeirio Ymarfer Corff (PACERS)
Mae astudiaeth PACERS yn ceisio asesu dichonoldeb ychwanegu elfen ysgogol at ymyrraeth bresennol i wella effeithiau'r Cynllun Atgyfeirio Ymarfer Corff Cenedlaethol a chefnogi cynnal a chadw gweithgarwch corfforol yn y tymor hwy.
Rhaglen Cyfoethogi Gwyliau Ysgol (SHEP)
Gan weithio gyda theuluoedd ledled Cymru, mae'r prosiect hwn yn gwerthuso SHEP, rhaglen ysgol sy'n darparu addysg maeth, gweithgaredd corfforol, sesiynau cyfoethogi a phrydau iach i blant mewn ardaloedd o amddifadedd cymdeithasol yn ystod gwyliau'r haf ysgol.
