Cwblhaodd ei PhD mewn Hanes a Theori Bensaernïol yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Bartlett a ariannwyd gan yr AHRC a Chymrodoriaeth Fulbright. Cyn iddo droi at hanes dinasoedd a'i phensaernïaeth, bu'n gweithio saith mlynedd mewn arferion pensaernïol a threfol yn Rotterdam (KCAP), Madrid (Soriano y Palacios Arquitectos) a Brwsel (Xaveer De Geyter Architects, XDGA). Cyn hynny, bu'n dysgu fel Cymrawd Addysgu yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Bartlett.

Ymchwil
Mae ei ymchwil yn ymchwilio i gynrychioliadau gweledol o drawsnewidiadau trefol a phensaernïol, gan ganolbwyntio'n benodol ar ffotograffiaeth drefol yn nhirweddau trefol Gogledd America yn yr ugeinfed ganrif. Mae Detroit a Chicago yn ffurfio craidd ei ymchwil gyfredol sy'n amrywio o glirio slymiau dechrau'r ugeinfed ganrif, i raglenni adeiladu cyhoeddus a phreifat a ddilynodd yr Ail Ryfel Byd y tu mewn a'r tu allan i'r ddinas, i ymgyrchoedd dadeni Downtown ar raddfa fawr y 1980au. Yn ei ymchwil, mae'n mabwysiadu dull rhyngddisgyblaethol, gan dynnu ar ei brofiad ymchwil mewn pensaernïaeth, ac astudiaethau mewn hanes celf a phensaernïol, a chanolbwyntio ar gynrychioliadau pensaernïol, llenyddol, ffotograffig a sinematig.
Mae ei arbenigedd ymchwil yn cynnwys
- Cynrychiolaeth o ddinasoedd a phensaernïaeth (mewn ffilm, ffotograffiaeth, comics, ac eraill)
- Rôl pensaernïaeth mewn prosiectau ailddatblygu trefol ar raddfa fawr a gweledigaethau atopig neu ddystopic y ddinas neu'r gymdeithas yn gyffredinol
- Trafodaethau o adfeilion, baw, pydredd a phynciau a gwrthrychau eraill a wrthodwyd mewn pensaernïaeth
- A hanesion diwylliannol a phensaernïol y maestrefi a threfi newydd.

Photobooks yn Detroit a Chicago
Ymgyrch Gofod Cyhoeddus Caerdydd (2019 - presennol): Mae'r ymgyrch hon yn un o brosiectau cyntaf Arsyllfa Mannau Cyhoeddus, canolfan ymchwil sydd wedi'i lleoli yn yr Ysgol Daearyddiaeth a Chynllunio. Ei brif nodau yw codi ymwybyddiaeth y cyhoedd o werthoedd cymdeithasol, diwylliannol, economaidd ac amgylcheddol a buddion mannau cyhoeddus sydd wedi'u cynllunio'n dda, eu defnyddio a'u rheoli'n dda. Drwy wneud hynny, mae'n anelu at hyrwyddo ymgysylltu â'r gymuned a grymuso drwy addysg, hyfforddiant a gallu i wella mannau cyhoeddus ac ymateb i ostyngiad sylweddol o wariant y sector cyhoeddus yn narpariaeth a chynnal a chadw seilwaith a gwasanaethau cyhoeddus awdurdodau lleol.
