Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Ddarllenydd Clinigol mewn Epidemioleg ac yn Gyfarwyddwr y Cynllun Cymrodyr Academaidd yn yr Is-adran Meddygaeth Boblogaeth, Ysgol Meddygaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd, ac yn feddyg teulu gweithredol yng Nghanolfan Gofal Sylfaenol Tredeler, Caerdydd.
Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar atal, diagnosis, triniaeth, ac effeithiau ehangach heintiau cyffredin. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn sut mae haint a thriniaeth gwrthfiotig yn effeithio ar bobl â chyflyrau hirdymor penodol (e.e. clefyd cardiofasgwlaidd), neu amlforbidrwydd. Mae'r rhan fwyaf o'm hymchwil yn defnyddio dulliau casgliadau achosol a data iechyd a gesglir yn rheolaidd ar raddfa fawr, ond mae gen i brofiad hefyd o dreialon clinigol aml-ganolfan fawr.
Rwyf wedi cynnal Cymrodoriaethau gefn wrth gefn o'r NIHR [Doethuriaeth, 2014-2019 ac Uwch 2020-2023].

Mae gennyf ddiddordeb sylweddol mewn cefnogi hyfforddeion academaidd clinigol. Fi yw Cyfarwyddwr y Cynllun Cymrodyr Academaidd, cynllun a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru sy'n recriwtio, cefnogi a mentora meddygon teulu sydd newydd gymhwyso am ddwy flynedd ac sy'n darparu cyfleoedd ar gyfer ymchwil, addysgu ac astudiaethau ôl-raddedig. Rwyf hefyd yn cyd-arwain carfan Caerdydd o raglen WCAT a mentor Hyfforddiant Academaidd Meddygon Teulu.
Mae fy rolau addysgu yn cynnwys modiwlau dysgu ar sail achosion, cyd-arwain modiwl heintiau'r BSc Rhyng-gyfrifedig Iechyd Poblogaeth, a goruchwylio prosiectau MPH, SSC, a BSc rhyng-gyfrifedig.
