Cynhaliwyd prosiect blinder Morwyr Caerdydd am 7 mlynedd, ac fe'i hystyriwyd mewn ffilm 30 munud a wnaed fel rhan o grant cyfnewid gwybodaeth ESRC (enillydd gwobr arloesi ac effaith yn 2012). Yn ddiweddarach cymerodd Paul ran mewn dau brosiect a ariannwyd gan Ewrop, y prosiect Blaenllaw a ariannwyd gan FP6, a'r prosiect CASCADe a ariannwyd gan FP7.
