Research
Paul’s research focused on seafarers, looking at fatigue and later the use of technology onboard ships. The Cardiff Seafarers’ fatigue project ran for 7 years, and was explored in a 30 minute film made as part of an ESRC knowledge exchange grant (the winner of an innovation and impact award in 2012). Paul was later involved in two European funded projects, the FP6 funded Flagship project, and the FP7 funded CASCADe project.

Employment
Paul was employed as a research associate at the Centre for Occupational and Health Psychology from May 2002 to December 2015. From January 2013 he worked part time producing video content for the school and university, and is now employed in a film production role full time.
