Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Nyrsio Oedolion yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd, Prifysgol Caerdydd. Rwy'n nyrs gofrestredig; Mae fy mhrofiad clinigol mewn nyrsio oedolion a gofal critigol. Ar hyn o bryd, rwy'n dal rôl Arweinydd Symudedd Myfyrwyr Rhyngwladol Israddedig sy'n arwain gweledigaeth a strategaeth symudedd myfyrwyr rhyngwladol yr Ysgol.
Fy PhD Archwilio gwytnwch mewn rolau nyrsio cyfoes yng Nghymru: astudiaeth dulliau cymysg. Awgrymir bod gwytnwch yn gallu diogelu nyrsys rhag straen galwedigaethol ac mae deall rôl ffactorau cadarnhaol yn y gweithle (adnoddau, addysg a chefnogaeth) yn allweddol i'w alluogi. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn sut y gallai'r canfyddiadau hyn helpu i lywio gwytnwch nyrsys mewn cyfnod ar ôl Covid-19.

Ymchwil
Rwy'n aelod o'r thema Optimeiddio'r Ysgol ar gyfer darparu gwasanaethau ac ymchwil sefydliadol.
Yn 2022, cwblheais fy PhD Archwilio gwytnwch mewn rolau nyrsio cyfoes yng Nghymru: astudiaeth dulliau cymysg. Ei nod yw archwilio'r dylanwadau cynhenid ac egin sy'n siapio gwytnwch nyrsys yng Nghymru. Ariannwyd y PhD gan Goleg Brenhinol Nyrsio Cymru dan oruchwyliaeth yr Athro Daniel Kelly a'r Athro Aled Jones). Disgrifiodd yr astudiaeth safbwyntiau gwydnwch ac amgylcheddau gwaith 1,459 o nyrsys cofrestredig ar draws un wlad (yn cwmpasu pob maes, band cyflog, rôl a lleoliad). Gan ddefnyddio fframwaith damcaniaethol cymdeithasol-ecolegol o wytnwch i ddadansoddi canllaw, awgrymodd y canfyddiadau fod gwytnwch yn gallu amddiffyn nyrsys rhag straen galwedigaethol ac mae deall rôl ffactorau cadarnhaol yn y gweithle (adnoddau, addysg a chefnogaeth) yn allweddol i'w alluogi. Cyfrannodd y canfyddiadau at fodel diffiniad newydd a gweithle o wydnwch nyrsys. Y ddadl ganolog i'r traethawd ymchwil hwn yw bod safbwyntiau nyrsys o wytnwch a natur eu gweithleoedd yn anwahanadwy. Mae gwytnwch yn fwy na gallu unigol gan ei fod yn cael ei siapio gan yr amgylchedd lle mae newidiadau i wytnwch yn digwydd. Felly, mae angen ystyried y ddau.
Mae'r astudiaeth hon wedi caniatáu i leisiau nyrsys sy'n gweithio yng Nghymru ddatgelu'r ffactorau sefydliadol cynnil sy'n siapio eu gwytnwch bob dydd, a allai helpu i lywio gwytnwch nyrsys mewn oes ar ôl Covid-19.
Addysgu
Mae gen i brofiad o addysgu ar draws rhaglenni israddedig ac ôl-raddedig. Rwy'n frwd dros hwyluso cyfleoedd dysgu gofal iechyd byd-eang myfyrwyr gofal iechyd. Rwyf hefyd yn canolbwyntio ar gymhwyso fy ymchwil gwytnwch er budd myfyrwyr nyrsio a gofal iechyd eraill. Mae fy modwl arweinyddiaeth o fodiwl BN (Anrh) y drydedd flwyddyn : Pontio i Ymarfer Proffesiynol yn galluogi hyn, ochr yn ochr â'm hwyluso o gyfleoedd gofal iechyd byd-eang.
Bywgraffiad
