Mae Huw Bennett yn Athro Cysylltiadau Rhyngwladol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae'n arbenigo mewn astudiaethau strategol, hanes rhyfel ac astudiaethau cudd-wybodaeth.
Mae ysgrifennu Huw ar hanes a gwleidyddiaeth y Fyddin Brydeinig ers 1945 yn mynd i'r afael â chwestiynau am gysylltiadau sifil-milwrol, llunio strategaeth ac effeithiau gwrthdaro ar gymdeithas.
Mae ei ymchwil wedi cael ei ariannu gan y Cyngor Ymchwil Economaidd a Chymdeithasol, Ymddiriedolaeth Leverhulme a'r Academi Brydeinig. Mae Huw yn ymgysylltu'n rheolaidd â'r lluoedd arfog ac mae wedi gwasanaethu fel tyst arbenigol mewn sawl achos llys ar ran dioddefwyr artaith. Mae ei waith wedi cael sylw mewn allfeydd cyfryngau fel The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Irish Times, The Belfast Telegraph, BBC Radio 4 a TV Cultura.
Yng Nghaerdydd, mae Huw yn addysgu modiwlau deallusrwydd a strategaeth. Cyn hynny, bu'n dysgu ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth ac i Goleg y Brenin Llundain yn y Cyd-Orchymyn Gwasanaethau a Choleg Staff. Derbyniodd Huw ei addysg israddedig ac ôl-raddedig mewn Gwleidyddiaeth Ryngwladol ym Mhrifysgol Cymru, Aberystwyth.
