Mae ganddi ddiddordeb mewn archwilio agweddau rhyngddisgyblaethol ar wneud penderfyniadau gan gynnwys modelau a modelu a gymhwysir i feysydd dylunio confensiynol, dylunio cynaliadwy a dylunio adfywiol. Mae hi wedi gwneud gwaith helaeth mewn efelychu perfformiad adeiladu sy'n canolbwyntio ar y defnyddiwr a'i integreiddio trwy gydol y broses ddylunio yn ei haddysgu a'i hymchwil. Mae ganddi ddiddordeb arbennig mewn gwneud penderfyniadau ar gyfer adfywio trefol, gwneud penderfyniadau mewn argyfwng, rheoli trychinebau a rhyddhad ar ôl trychineb yn ogystal â gwneud penderfyniadau wrth ddylunio ar gyfer hinsoddau llym a gwneud penderfyniadau mewn prosesau dylunio cyfranogol gan gynnwys cymunedau incwm isel. Mae ei gwaith yn rhyngddisgyblaethol iawn, ac mae'n cydweithio ag academyddion eraill ym meysydd Cyfrifiadureg, Peirianneg Sifil a Mecanyddol, Cynllunio Trefol a Busnes.

Mae Clarice yn Athro yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru, Prifysgol Caerdydd. Cyn hyn, bu'n gweithio fel ymchwilydd yn y DU ac fel ymarferydd ac ymgynghorydd amgylcheddol ym Mrasil. Mae ganddi PhD mewn gwyddorau pensaernïol (Prifysgol Caerdydd - y DU), MSc mewn peirianneg sifil (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS- Brasil) ac mae'n bensaer cymwysedig (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS- Brasil). Mae'n goruchwylio ac yn archwilio myfyrwyr PhD ac MSc ac mae wedi cymryd rhan mewn prosiectau a ariennir gan y Comisiwn Ewropeaidd, yr EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Science Research Council UK) a'r BRE (Building Research Establishment UK).

Mae hi'n ymchwilio, addysgu a goruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD ac MSc ym maes gwneud penderfyniadau rhyngddisgyblaethol yn yr amgylchedd adeiledig gan ddefnyddio modelau digidol aml-barth mewn dylunio confensiynol, dylunio cynaliadwy a dylunio adfywiol. Mae ganddi fwy na 70 o gyhoeddiadau a adolygir gan gymheiriaid sy'n ymdrin â meysydd efelychu perfformiad adeiladu sy'n canolbwyntio ar ddefnyddwyr a'i integreiddio trwy gydol y broses ddylunio, gwneud penderfyniadau digidol wrth reoli trychinebau a rhyddhad ar ôl trychineb, gwneud penderfyniadau wrth ddylunio ar gyfer hinsoddau llym ac mewn prosesau dylunio cyfranogol, ac ar ddefnyddio technegau dysgu peiriant i gynorthwyo gwneud penderfyniadau dylunio.

Mae'n eistedd ym myrddau golygyddol y Journal of Building Performance Simulation (Taylor & Francis), Sustainable Design and Construction (Frontiers in Built Environment journal) yn ogystal ag ym mwrdd IBPSA England ar wahân i lawer o bwyllgorau cynhadledd wyddonol ryngwladol, gan gynnwys y prif gynadleddau Efelychu Adeiladu (IBPSA – BS). Mae hi'n adolygydd gweithredol ar gyfer nifer o gyfnodolion Elsevier a Taylor & Francis ac yn aelod o goleg y Cyngor Ymchwil Peirianneg a Gwyddorau Ffisegol (EPSRC – UK), gan asesu ceisiadau am grantiau ymchwil ar gyfer rhaglenni ymchwil peirianneg Llywodraeth Prydain.
