Trosolwyg
Rwy'n ddaearyddwr cymdeithasol trefol sydd â diddordebau ymchwil mewn theori drefol a chymdeithasol a newid cymdeithasol mewn dinasoedd. Rwy'n archwilio perthnasedd cyfoes pragmatiaeth athronyddol ar gyfer theori gymdeithasol, ymchwil ac ymarfer cyfredol mewn astudiaethau trefol, daearyddiaeth a'r gwyddorau cymdeithasol yn fwy cyffredinol. Rhannau allweddol o'r agenda ymchwil honno fu ailfeddwl y ddinas a democratiaeth trwy syniadau newydd o resymoldeb, ymgorfforiad a gweithredu. Mae fy ymchwil ar newid cymdeithasol mewn dinasoedd wedi canolbwyntio ar brosesau newid cymdogaeth ac yn enwedig boneddigeiddio. Rwyf wedi edrych ar y berthynas rhwng dosbarth, gofod a ffurfiau cyfalaf economaidd, cymdeithasol a diwylliannol mewn astudiaethau mewn gwahanol ddinasoedd gan gynnwys Llundain, Bryste, Sydney, Montreal a Pharis.
Ymunais â'r Ysgol Daearyddiaeth a Chynllunio yn 2015 a chyn hynny roeddwn yn Athro Astudiaethau Trefol ym Mhrifysgol Bryste.
