Ar hyn o bryd mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddaearyddiaethau pŵer, awdurdod a ymgorfforiad. Yn flaenorol, rwyf wedi gweithio ar faterion ehangach yn ymwneud â chelf, actifiaeth, hiwmor a llenyddiaeth. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn meddwl am y materion hyn trwy lens estheteg wleidyddol, y geodyniaethau, a daearyddiaethau angynrychioliadol.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio ar brosiect gan ddefnyddio dulliau ymchwil creadigol i ddeall bywyd, awdurdod a thrais bob dydd mewn cymuned o favelas ym mharth gogledd Rio de Janeiro. Ar hyn o bryd rydym yn ysgrifennu'r ymchwil hon i fonograff a gyhoeddwyd ar y cyd yn 2025. Ariannwyd yr ymchwil gan brosiect AHRC gwerth £253,000 rhwng 2020 a 2023.
Rwyf hefyd yn gweithio ar astudiaeth o estheteg 'awdurdod anawdurdodol', wedi'i fframio trwy gyfres o arbrofion creadigol gyda ffurfiau a genres o ysgrifennu daearyddol academaidd. Mae'r gwaith hwn wedi'i ariannu gan amrywiol brosiectau AHRC, Leverhulme a Chronfa Newton. Mae monograff ar y pwnc hwn wedi'i gontractio gyda LSE Press, fel rhan o gyfres lyfrau'r Gymdeithas Ddaearyddol Frenhinol, i'w chyhoeddi yn 2025.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn dadleuon mewn athroniaethau a hanesion daearyddiaeth, ac ar hyn o bryd rwy'n paratoi cyfrol wedi'i chyd-olygu, The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of History and Philosophy of Geography, i'w chyhoeddi yn 2026.
Roedd fy ngwaith cynharach, a ariannwyd gan yr ESRC, yn canolbwyntio ar gelf a llenyddiaeth, biowleidyddiaeth, awdurdod, gwleidyddiaeth estheteg, a diwylliant trefol anarchaidd. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb parhaus cryf mewn daearyddiaeth ôl-ddyneiddiol greadigol, a archwiliwyd yn benodol drwy Brosiect AHRC gwerth £55,000 'Llais y llall: Cartograffeg o arferion gwrando creadigol'. Daeth ymchwil yn y maes hwn i ben gyda llyfr golygedig ar ffurf llyfr 'dewis eich antur eich hun', Listening with Nonhuman Others (ARN Press, 2016), yn ogystal â rhifyn arbennig o GeoHumanities on Spaces of Attunement (adran arbennig GeoHumanities, 2016).
Yn empirig, mae fy ngwaith wedi canolbwyntio ar Paris, Hong Kong, a Rio de Janeiro. Rwyf wedi cyhoeddi ar bynciau amrywiol gan gynnwys biowleidyddiaeth, awdurdod, avant-gardes trefol, llenyddiaeth ym Mharis fin-de-siecle, daearyddiaethau creadigol, dulliau cyfranogol mwy na dynol ac arbrofol, y tiroedd comin, cenedlaethau'r dyfodol, gwleidyddiaeth estheteg, seilwaith trefol yn Hong Kong trefedigaethol, estheteg tywod, a dulliau niwro-drefoliaeth arbrofol gan ddefnyddio biosynwyryddion ymateb croen galvanig symudol.
