Uwch Gymrawd Ymchwil - Ansoddol
- Ar gael fel goruchwyliwr ôl-raddedig
Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Uwch Gymrawd Ymchwil (Ansoddol) ac yn Bennaeth y Grŵp Ymchwil Ansoddol - Canolfan Ymchwil Treialon - Prifysgol Caerdydd
Rwy'n Gyd-Arweinydd y grŵp targed Ymchwil Ansoddol mewn Treialon (QRiT), o fewn Partneriaeth Ymchwil Methodoleg Treialon MRC-NIHR (TMRP).
Dechreuais fy ngyrfa ymchwil yn y Ganolfan Ymchwil Iaith a Chyfathrebu mewn sosioieithyddiaeth ryngweithiol. Roedd fy ymchwil doethurol yn archwilio ansicrwydd diagnostig mewn geneteg a chymdeithas. Yn dilyn hyn, datblygais rwydweithiau rhyngwladol gydag ymchwilwyr disgwrs a chynorthwyais i lansio'r Cynadleddau Rhyngwladol Blynyddol ar Gyfathrebu, Meddygaeth a Moeseg a gweithredais fel Cyswllt Golygyddol ar gyfer y cyfnodolyn Cyfathrebu a Meddygaeth.
Symudais i Uned Treialon De Ddwyrain Cymru pan gafodd ei sefydlu gyntaf yn 2006, bellach yn Ganolfan Ymchwil Treialon Ymchwil. I ddechrau, canolbwyntiais ar ddefnyddio dulliau ansoddol mewn heintiau. Yna dechreuais ehangu fy mhortffolio ymchwil i gynnwys defnyddio dulliau ansoddol gyda grwpiau sydd heb eu gwasanaethu'n ddigonol, a phlant/pobl ifanc a rhianta, a defnyddio dulliau ansoddol gyda threialon.
Rwy'n gyd-ymchwilydd ar astudiaethau a ariennir ar hyn o bryd neu'n ddiweddar gan NIHR (LLEOLIAD, TIPTOE, PRONTO, RAPID, SenITA, SWP), HCRW Research for Patient and Public Benefit (PERCEIVE, PEACH, PLACEMENT, TRIDENT), UKRI ESRC Council (OSCAR), ac Charity Action for Children (MIST). Rwy'n goruchwylio myfyrwyr ar lefel Doethuriaeth a Meistr, ac fel Cynghorydd Cymrodoriaeth.
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys:
- Cyfathrebu iechyd
- Lleisiau cleifion
- Plant, pobl ifanc a rhieni
- Heintiau
- Defnyddio dulliau ansoddol gyda grwpiau sydd heb eu gwasanaethu'n ddigonol
- Dulliau a threialon ansoddol
- Dylunio ymchwil ansoddol ar raddfa fawr, aml-wlad
