Trosolwyg

Mae Emmanuel yn Athro yn Ysgol Peirianneg Caerdydd. Ef hefyd yw Pennaeth Addysgu Adran Peirianneg Fecanyddol a Meddygol yr Ysgol. Mae ei ddiddordeb ymchwil cyfredol ym maes technolegau gweithgynhyrchu uwch gyda ffocws penodol ar beiriannu nano mecanyddol (hy seiliedig ar chwiliedydd AFM) a pheiriannu micro thermol (hy sy'n seiliedig ar laser). Mae'n dysgu mathemateg ar gyfer myfyrwyr Peirianneg Fecanyddol a Meddygol blwyddyn gyntaf. Mae hefyd yn gyfrifol am ddarparu labordai CAD ac am oruchwylio prosiectau unigol a grŵp ar gyrsiau BEng, MEng ac MSng. Derbyniodd wobrau Dysgu'r Flwyddyn yn 2017 a 2024 ar gyfer modiwlau EN1090 (Dadansoddi Peirianneg) ac EN4110 (Mecatroneg), yn y drefn honno, ac roedd ar y rhestr fer ar gyfer Gwobr Cyfoethogi Bywyd Myfyrwyr yn 2022 yng nghategori Aelod Staff Mwyaf Arloesol y Flwyddyn.

Cyn ei benodiad cyntaf yn Ddarlithydd yn 2012, derbyniodd Gymrodoriaeth Academaidd pum mlynedd gan y Cynghorau Ymchwil y DU. Mae Emmanuel wedi cyhoeddi mwy na 100 o bapurau gwyddonol a adolygir gan gymheiriaid (gan gynnwys dros 60 o bapurau cyfnodolion), yn bennaf ym maes gweithgynhyrchu micro a nano. .

Mae Emmanuel wedi sicrhau, fel Prif Ymchwilydd (PI), incwm ymchwil am gyfanswm gwerth £1.2m. Mae hyn yn cynnwys tri Grant EPSRC (EP/I012133/1, EP/M020703/1 ac EP/T01489X/1). Mae hefyd wedi bod yn gyd-ymchwilydd ar brosiectau gwerth £1.1m, sy'n cynnwys dau grant EPSRC (EP/F056745/1 ac EP/K031635/1). Yn olaf, mae hefyd wedi gwasanaethu fel PI dros dro ar ddau brosiect FP7 (MULTILAYER a POLARIC) am werth cyfunol o £1.1m.
