Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gynorthwyydd ymchwil sy'n ymgymryd â phrosiect sy'n edrych ar ledaenu ymwrthedd gwrthficrobaidd mewn bioffilmiau draen ledled ystod o amgylcheddau, gan gynnwys: gofal iechyd, cartref a milfeddyg. Fy maes ymchwil o ddiddordeb yw atal a rheoli heintiau, gyda ffocws ar ddiheintyddion a bioffilmiau. Y tu allan i fy ymchwil labordy, rwy'n llysgennad STEM ac yn ymwneud â gweithgareddau allgymorth gwyddonol, yn ogystal â Hyrwyddwr Cymdeithas Microbioleg.

Cwblheais fy ngradd israddedig mewn Bioleg Forol ym Mhrifysgol Newcastle cyn mynychu Prifysgol Caerdydd ar gyfer gradd Meistr Ymchwil yn Ysgol y Biowyddorau. Yn dilyn hyn, ymunais â'r Ysgol Fferylliaeth a Gwyddorau Fferyllol lle cwblheais fy PhD ar Bioffilmiau Arwyneb Sych (DSB) gyda nawdd gan ddiwydiant. Canolbwyntiodd fy PhD ar sut y gallwn symud ymlaen i frwydro yn erbyn DSB mewn cyfleusterau gofal iechyd. Er fy mod yn bennaf yn y labordy, cynhaliais arolygon a chyfweliadau hefyd i gynorthwyo yn ein dealltwriaeth gyfredol o wybodaeth gweithwyr gofal iechyd proffesiynol ar gyfer fy PhD.
