Mae Dr Andrea Collins yn Uwch-ddarlithydd yn yr Ysgol Daearyddiaeth a Chynllunio ac yn aelod cyswllt i CAST (Canolfan Newid Hinsawdd a Thrawsnewidiadau Cymdeithasol).
Mae ei diddordebau ymchwil yn cwmpasu cyfraniad dangosyddion amgylcheddol wrth asesu effeithiau defnyddio adnoddau, yn benodol yr ôl troed ecolegol fel offeryn polisi ac addysg, ac ecoleg chwaraeon. Mae ei gwaith presennol yn canolbwyntio ar asesu effeithiau amgylcheddol digwyddiadau chwaraeon a diwylliannol mawr, ac fel asiantau newid ymddygiad cynaliadwy. Roedd Andrea yn ymwneud â datblygu cynnwys gwreiddiol gwefan eventimpacts.com UK Sport a'i bartneriaid cenedlaethol (a diwygiadau dilynol yn 2016 a 2024). Mae ei gwaith hefyd wedi llywio Safon Cynaliadwyedd Gwirfoddol Sefydliad yr Amgylchedd Golff ar gyfer Twrnameintiau Golff.
Mae Andrea wedi cynnal nifer o astudiaethau effeithiau o ddigwyddiadau mawr (chwaraeon, diwylliannol a chynadleddau) ar ran cyllidwyr digwyddiadau (e.e. UK Sport a Royal Welsh Agricultural Society) a gyda threfnwyr digwyddiadau (e.e. Gŵyl Lenyddiaeth y Gelli, yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol, Run4Wales, The Open and European Association of Sport Management).
