Mae fy ymchwil yn gymdeithasol-gyfreithiol ac yn glöedigaethau ar faterion yn ymwneud â thai a thir o beripatetig. Ar hyn o bryd yn gweithio ar brosiectau sy'n ymwneud â chyllido (neuaddau preswyl), gwrthrychau (ymwybyddiaeth gyfreithiol a digartrefedd), tai rhent preifat, a gofal tai.

Bywgraffiad
Mae Dave yn academydd cymdeithasol-gyfreithiol a benodwyd i Gadair Journal of Law and Society mewn astudiaethau cymdeithasol-gyfreithiol ym mis Mai 2023. Cyn hynny bu'n gweithio yn Ysgol y Gyfraith Prifysgol Bryste am 28 mlynedd lle bu'n Athro yn y Gyfraith a Pholisi o 2003. Ef yw golygydd y Palgrave Socio-Legal Series, ac mae'n aelod o fwrdd golygyddol Journal of Law and Society.
Mae Dave yn ymchwilio'n bennaf i feysydd rhyngddisgyblaethol tai a thir, ac mae wedi ysgrifennu mwy na 10 llyfr a 40 o erthyglau cyfnodolion a adolygir gan gymheiriaid yn y meysydd hynny. Mae ei lyfrau'n cynnwys Ownership, Narrative, Things (Palgrave, 2018), Great Debates in Land Law (3ydd ed, Bloomsbury, 2023), Pandemic Legalities (Bristol UP, 2021). Mae wedi cynnal prosiectau ymchwil ar bynciau ar draws tai a thir, gan gynnwys ar ranberchenogaeth, iechyd a diogelwch mewn tai, achosion meddiant, cychod camlesi, a gwneud penderfyniadau ynghylch digartrefedd. Mae ei waith wedi cael ei ariannu gan amrywiaeth o asiantaethau'r llywodraeth ac elusennau.
Mae ymchwil Dave hefyd yn dylanwadu ar bolisi ac ymarfer. Roedd yn rhan o'r Bil Rhentu Cartrefi (Cymru) ac roedd yn gweithio i Shelter yn dylanwadu ar y Bil Cartrefi (Addasrwydd i Bobl). Roedd ei waith yn darparu astudiaeth achos effaith ar gyfer REF 2021.
Anrhydeddau a dyfarniadau
Mae Dave wedi derbyn Gwobr Rhagoriaeth Flynyddol Cymdeithas y Gyfraith, Eiddo a Chymdeithas (2016), a Chyfraniad y Cydymaith Astudiaethau Cymdeithasol-Gyfreithiol i'r Wobr Gymunedol Gymdeithasol-Gyfreithiol (2021). Mae hefyd yn Gymrawd Academi'r Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol (2012) a Chymdeithas Frenhinol y Celfyddydau (2015).
Mae'n denant cysylltiol yn Siambrau Stryd Doughty.
