Mae Emrah Demir yn Athro Ymchwil Weithredol yn Adran Logisteg a Rheoli Gweithrediadau Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd.
Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Caerdydd, bu Emrah yn gweithio fel Athro Cynorthwyol ym Mhrifysgol Technoleg Eindhoven (yr Iseldiroedd). Mae ganddo raddau BEng ac MSc mewn Peirianneg Ddiwydiannol o Brifysgol Baskent (Twrci), a PhD mewn Gwyddoniaeth Rheolaeth o Brifysgol Southampton.
Mae diddordebau ymchwil cyfredol Emrah wedi'u lleoli ym meysydd logisteg werdd ac ymchwil weithredol. Mae wedi gweithio'n bennaf wrth gymhwyso optimeiddio mathemategol i broblemau cludo nwyddau bywyd go iawn. Mae ganddo arbenigedd mewn dulliau meintiol a dadansoddol, megis dulliau uniondeb a brasamcan. Mae wedi cyhoeddi mwy na 50 o erthyglau cyfnodolion a chwe phennod llyfr ac ar hyn o bryd mae ganddo dros 5,200 o ddyfyniadau (h-index 28) i'w gyhoeddiadau ar Google Scholar. Mae hefyd yn adolygydd mewn sawl cyfnodolyn rhyngwladol o ymchwil weithredol, cludiant a logisteg. Mae Emrah hefyd wedi cymryd rhan mewn a chael nifer o grantiau allanol gan wahanol gyrff cyllido sydd i'w gweld o dan adran Ymchwil.
Mae gan Emrah brofiad o addysgu Logisteg a Chludiant, Rheoli Gweithrediadau, Rheoli Prosiectau ac Ymchwil Weithredol. Yn ogystal, mae'n goruchwylio myfyrwyr israddedig ac ôl-raddedig o amrywiaeth o gefndiroedd academaidd ar ystod o bynciau cysylltiedig, gan gynnwys llwybro cerbydau gwyrdd, cludiant rhyngfoddol, cludiant integredig ac ati.
