Trosolwyg
Rwy'n ddarllenydd yn yr Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth, y Cyfryngau a Diwylliant. Ar hyn o bryd, fi yw Cyfarwyddwr Dysgu ac Addysgu'r Ysgol.
Rwy'n ysgolhaig cyfryngau sydd â diddordeb yn y berthynas a'r rhyng-chwarae rhwng newyddiaduraeth, gwleidyddiaeth a dinasyddion. Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gwneud ymchwil ar newyddiaduraeth hyperleol a chymunedol yn y DU, yn ogystal ag ar gynrychioliadau ymfudwyr yn y cyfryngau. Rwyf wedi cyhoeddi gwaith sy'n archwilio rôl gyfryngol dinasyddion yn ystod ymgyrchoedd etholiadol a refferendwm, yn ogystal â'r syniad o dryloywder mewn newyddiaduraeth gyfoes. Rwyf hefyd wedi gweithio ar y sylw i'r argyfwng ffoaduriaid ym Môr y Canoldir (a ariennir gan UNHCR), ac ar ehangder barn yn narllediad y BBC (a ariennir gan Ymddiriedolaeth y BBC). Mae fy ymchwil yn ymddangos mewn cyfnodolion rhyngwladol a adolygir gan gymheiriaid fel y Cyfryngau, Diwylliant a Chymdeithas, Astudiaethau Newyddiaduraeth , Newyddiaduraeth: Theori, Ymarfer a Beirniadaeth neu Astudiaethau Cyfryngau Ffeministaidd.
Rwy'n Gydlynydd BA Traethawd Hir yr Ysgol, ac rwy'n addysgu modiwlau MA ar gyfathrebu gwleidyddol a dulliau ymchwil gymdeithasol. Mae gennyf MSc mewn Gwleidyddiaeth a Chyfathrebu (Ysgol Economeg a Gwyddor Wleidyddol Llundain) a PhD o Brifysgol Ymreolaethol Barcelona (UAB). Cyn i mi gael fy mhenodi'n gydymaith ymchwil i weithio fel dadansoddwr cyfryngau ar gyfer prosiect Eurosphere ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, roeddwn yn ddarlithydd cyswllt yn UAB, lle bûm yn dysgu modiwlau BA ar ddamcaniaeth y cyfryngau a barn y cyhoedd. Yn ystod y flwyddyn academaidd 2007-08, cynhaliais ymchwil ym Mhrifysgol Rydd Brwsel (VUB).
