Yr Athro Jonathan Gosling
- Ar gael fel goruchwyliwr ôl-raddedig
Timau a rolau for Jonathan Gosling
Athro mewn Rheoli Logisteg a Gweithrediadau
Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Athro Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi, ac yn Gyfarwyddwr Ymgysylltu ac Effaith Ymchwil yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd. Rwyf hefyd yn Gyfarwyddwr y Grŵp Dynameg Systemau Logisteg, ac yn Gymrawd Sefydliad y Peirianwyr Sifil. Cyn dod yn academydd, gweithiais yn y diwydiant modurol fel dadansoddwr cadwyn gyflenwi, ond bellach canolbwyntiais yn bennaf ar ddiwydiannau sy'n seiliedig ar brosiect.
Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar amgylcheddau 'peirianydd-i-archebu', lle gwneir gwaith peirianneg arloesol pwrpasol ar gyfer cwsmeriaid unigol. Mae hyn fel arfer yn digwydd ym maes prosiectau peirianneg cymhleth mawr, fel y ceir yn y sectorau adeiladu, adeiladu llongau a nwyddau cyfalaf. Rwyf wedi gweithio gydag ystod eang o sefydliadau, cadwyni cyflenwi, a sefydliadau academaidd eraill i wella ein dealltwriaeth o sut i reoli'r sectorau heriol hyn.
Rwyf wedi gweithio ar ystod eang o brosiectau ymchwil wedi'u hariannu (gweler ymchwil), y mae llawer ohonynt wedi mynd i'r afael â materion yn y genfigen adeiledig, sydd wedi rhoi mewnwelediadau, er enghraifft, i sefydlu amodau caffael a chytundebol ar gyfer cyflawni prosiectau yn llwyddiannus, digido prosesau adeiladu ar draws y gadwyn gyflenwi, gweithredu modelau economi gylchol, a diffinio/rheoli perthnasoedd a dulliau priodol yn y gadwyn gyflenwi.
Fel arfer, rwy'n mabwysiadu dull datrys problemau cydweithredol, gan ddefnyddio offer, technegau a dulliau gweithio meddwl systemau, er mwyn hwyluso gwelliannau a herio arfer cyfredol. Mae llawer o'm gwaith yn canolbwyntio ar ymarfer, ac mae'n rhaid i brosiectau gael effeithiau cadarnhaol ar gadwyni cyflenwi, fel y dangosir trwy'r astudiaethau achos ymarferol isod:
- Gwella caffael prosiectau seilwaith yn y DU, arferion sefydliadol sefydliadau peirianneg mawr, a drafftio ffurflenni contract
- Sefydlu cadwyn gyflenwi dolen gaeedig ar gyfer cynnyrch a oedd yn arfer cael ei osod ar gyfer tirlenwi.
- Deall achosion methiant peirianyddol
