Fy mhrif feysydd ymchwil yw seicoleg glinigol ac iechyd, ac mae fy ngwaith yn cael ei uno gan thema gyffredinol o ddeall, cefnogi a gwella iechyd rhywiol ac atgenhedlu.
Mae fy rhaglen ymchwil yn cwmpasu tri maes eang:
- Cymhwyso damcaniaethau seicolegol a'r model bioseicogymdeithasol i ddeall natur pryderon iechyd rhywiol ac atgenhedlol a'u heffaith ar iechyd meddwl, perthnasoedd a gweithrediad dyddiol (er enghraifft, mynychu a chymryd rhan yn yr ysgol neu'r gwaith).
- Gwerthuso a gwella mynediad gofal iechyd ac ecwiti
- Datblygu a gwerthuso ymyriadau, triniaethau ac adnoddau i wella iechyd rhywiol ac atgenhedlu yn ystyrlon, gan dynnu o ymagwedd sy'n canolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn
Mae fy mhrosiectau diweddar wedi canolbwyntio ar iechyd mislif (poen cyfnod difrifol, anhwylder dysfforig premenstruol), poen / anghysur genito-pelfig (anhwylder cyffro cenhedlu / dysesthesia genito-pelvic, endometriosis), atal cenhedlu ôl-enedigol, camweithrediad rhywiol a lles. Rwy'n gweithio'n agos gyda rhanddeiliaid (e.e. gweithwyr gofal iechyd proffesiynol, llunwyr polisi) a phobl sydd â phrofiad byw i gyd-ddatblygu'r ymchwil hon.
