Trosolwyg
Ymunais ag Ysgol y Gyfraith a Gwleidyddiaeth Caerdydd ym mis Ionawr 2020. Cyn hynny, roeddwn yn ddarlithydd yn y gyfraith ym Mhrifysgol Huddersfield. Derbyniais addysg yn y Deyrnas Unedig ac yn Tsieina. Cwblheais fy PhD yn y gyfraith heb gywiro ym Mhrifysgol Bangor yn 2017. Dyfarnwyd LLM mewn Cyfraith Busnes Rhyngwladol i mi gan Brifysgol Manceinion yn 2008 a LLB gan Brifysgol Qingdao (China) yn 2005.
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn gorwedd mewn cyfraith fasnach ryngwladol a chyfraith forol, gan ganolbwyntio'n benodol ar gludo nwyddau ar y môr, cyfraith gwerthu rhyngwladol, a'r rhyngweithio rhwng arloesiadau technolegol a datblygu cyfraith llongau. Rwyf hefyd yn gweithio ar gyfraith fasnachol yn fwy cyffredinol.
Rwyf wedi ysgrifennu cyfres o erthyglau ar faterion llongau "sych" sy'n ymwneud â dogfennau llongau. Hefyd, rwy'n gweithio ar ddatblygu prosiect ymchwil ar y cydadwaith rhwng technolegau aflonyddgar sy'n dod i'r amlwg a'r gyfraith ac ymarfer llongau sy'n esblygu. Rwy'n mabwysiadu'r dulliau athrawiaethol ac amlddisgyblaethol cyfreithiol i archwilio ac archwilio materion cyfraith llongau o dan amrywiol awdurdodaethau, megis y DU, yr Unol Daleithiau, Tsieina, a Singapore, ac ati. Rwyf wedi cyflwyno fy ngwaith mewn cynadleddau uchel eu parch, gan gynnwys cynadleddau blynyddol Grŵp Ymchwil Cyfraith Forol a Pholisi Llundain (Llundain, y DU), Colocwiwm Ewropeaidd ar Ymchwil Cyfraith Forol (Toruń, Gwlad Pwyl), Transport Law De Lege Ferenda (Rotterdam, Netherland); a chyhoeddais fy ngwaith mewn cyfnodolion cyfraith fasnachol a chyfraith forol sy'n arwain y byd, megis y Journal of Business Law (Sweet&Maxwell), Journal of International Maritime Law (Lawtext), a'r Journal of Maritime Law and Commerce, ac ati.
Cyn dod yn academydd, roeddwn i'n gweithio fel cyfreithiwr masnachol ac yn ymarfer yn Tsieina. Gweithiais yn fewnol yn adrannau cyfreithiol rhai cwmnïau sylweddol, gan gynnwys Grŵp Haier a China COSCO Shipping. Rhoddodd fy rôl yn y cwmnïau hyn ddealltwriaeth ddofn i mi o faterion masnach a llongau rhyngwladol sy'n ymwneud â'r gyfraith, sy'n fy ngalluogi i ddod â thrylwyredd academaidd ac ymwybyddiaeth fasnachol i'm rôl bresennol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd.

Ymchwil
My current research focuses on the harmonisation and modernisation of the law on the legal functions of transport documents in maritime trade. It adopts a holistic perspective, examining the functions of transport documents and their electronic equivalence in a broad context that integrates shipping with trading in its entirety, aiming to identify how the law in this area will evolve and uncover the interplay between the law, policy and disruptive technology.
I am also interested in China’s ‘Belt and Road’ initiative, particularly its impact on the development of the law regarding international sales and cargo transportation.
