Ymchwil
Fy mhrif faes yw ymchwil addysgol, ac o fewn hynny, dysgu rhwydweithiol. Yn ystod astudiaethau doethurol gyda Phrifysgol Lancaster (cyswllt 2014-2019 â thesis), dechreuais archwilio ffenomenoleg o fewn dysgu rhwydweithiol a pharhau â hyn trwy ddarllen awduron canonaidd (yn araf iawn!); er enghraifft, Gwirionedd a Dull Gadamer a Bod ac Amser Heidegger. Yn 2020 dechreuais fframwaith Wici o nodiadau agored ar wirionedd a dull. Yn 2020, dechreuais hanfod.NL gyda Felicity Healey-Benson.
Addysgu
Mae fy nghyfrifoldebau addysgu yn cynnwys staff a myfyrwyr ac yn gorwedd yn bennaf ar hyd y rhyngwyneb rhwng gwaith gwybodaeth a thechnoleg gwybodaeth. Gall hyn ddod i'r wyneb wrth ddylunio a chyflwyno sesiynau i gefnogi dysgu cymwysiadau penodol (e.e. MS PowerPoint) neu gellid ei gymryd o fewn 'sgiliau astudio' neu 'ymarfer sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth'. Rwy'n ceisio hyrwyddo mabwysiadu technolegau gwybodaeth yn ystyrlon ac yn feirniadol adlewyrchol lle bo hynny'n briodol, gan gydnabod bod cyd-destun dilys yn hanfodol ar gyfer dysgu. Efallai na fydd hyn yn golygu (llawer) 'Addysgu TG' penodol fel y cyfryw er bod lle ar gyfer hynny. I ryw raddau, rhaid i unigolion ddod o hyd i'w llwybr eu hunain hyd at fabwysiadu'r arferion gwaith gwybodaeth sy'n effeithiol ac yn gynaliadwy. Gall penderfyniaeth dechnolegol ein tynnu i gefnu ar dechnolegau ac arferion sydd wedi'u profi a'u profi, gan wastraffu amser ac ymdrech yn well ar drywydd ysgolheictod dyfnach. Rwyf mor hapus i sefydlu myfyrwyr ifanc i mewn i waith gwybodaeth y Brifysgol gan fy mod yn goruchwylio traethodau hir PhD neu MSc mewn adolygiad systematig / prosiect seiliedig ar waith.
Ar ôl astudio pynciau arweinyddiaeth a rheoli ym Mhrifysgol Aberdeen fel myfyriwr israddedig, yn 2012 fe wnes i helpu i ddatblygu a pharhau i addysgu ac asesu modiwl Meistr ar arweinyddiaeth mewn gofal iechyd sydd wedi rhedeg ar hyd priciples dysgu rhwydweithiol o'r dechrau.
Mae Keeping Me Grounded yn aelod o dîm addysgu dau fodiwl lefel 5 ar raglen Bachellor Nyrsio (Anrh): Adolygiad wedi'i oleuo ac Iechyd Byd-eang.
Yn 2021 fe wnes i ymgymryd â rôl Cydgysylltydd Cynrychiolwyr Myfyrwyr yr Ysgol. Mae myfyrwyr yn aelodau llawn o'r Brifysgol ac mae'n fraint gennyf annog eu mewnbwn hanfodol i'n gwaith.
Bywgraffiad
Dechreuodd fy rôl bresennol yn 2001, gan gyfuno hyfedredd mewn technoleg gwybodaeth (a ddarparwyd cefnogaeth 2il linell i'r Brifysgol 1998-2001) ac addysgu (TAR gyda Bath Spa ym 1998) i gefnogi'r ysgol, ei staff a'i myfyrwyr i ddatblygu gwell defnydd o TG. O 2002 astudiais ran amser gyda Phrifysgol Lancaster ar gyfer MSc mewn Technoleg Dysgu Uwch a dod yn gysylltiedig â'r gynhadledd ddysgu rwydweithiol. Ar ôl blwyddyn wedi'i secondio'n rhan-amser fel Darlithydd mewn Addysg Feddygol, yn 2014 ymunais unwaith eto â Lancaster am ddoethuriaeth ran-amser mewn E-Ymchwil a Dysgu a Gyfoethogwyd gan Dechnoleg, gan raddio ym mis Rhagfyr 2019, ychydig cyn y pandemig. Cyhoeddwyd perfeddion fy nhraethawd ymchwil yn 2024 o fewn casgliad golygedig a arweiniais.
Mae gennyf ddiddordeb mewn eAsesu ac un o brif elfennau gwaith diweddar oedd digido dogfennaeth a phrosesau asesu lleoliadau clinigol, mewn partneriaeth â chydweithwyr a datblygwyr MyProgressTM, MyKnowledgeMaps Ltd. Yn 2019, dyfarnodd Addysg a Gwella Iechyd Cymru ~ £100k i ni i ddatblygu rhyngwyneb dwyieithog gyda chyfieithiad awtomatig rhwng Saesneg a Saesneg ar gyfer mewnbwn testun am ddim. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn sut y gall cyfieithu testun awtomataidd hybu hyder y rhai sy'n amharod i ysgrifennu yn Gymraeg, yn enwedig mewn cyd-destunau ffurfiol ac uchel eu talcen (gweler fy posteri darn meddwl).
Yn 'fy amser fy hun' rwyf wrth fy modd yn helpu ceiswyr lloches a ffoaduriaid i addasu i fywyd yng Nghymru. Dwi'n mwynhau cerddoriaeth glasurol a churadu fy lluniau, er enghraifft, o awyr Sir Benfro ar flickr.
