Dr. Sotiris Kampanelis joined Cardiff Business School in January 2020 as a Lecturer in the Department of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Andrews and his research interests lie in the broad area of development economics, economic geography, and banking. Sotiris' work has been published in the Oxford Economic Papers journal and the Journal of Economic Geography. He has also accumulated teaching experience in several areas of economics and finance. Currently, he is teaching financial economics at the undergraduate level and international finance at the postgraduate level.
