Mae Dr Abhishek Kundu yn Uwch Ddarlithydd yn y grŵp ymchwil Mecaneg Gyfrifiadurol a Pheirianneg AI ac ef yw cyd-sylfaenydd y labordy deublyg digidol sy'n seiliedig ar ffiseg yn Ysgol Peirianneg Caerdydd. Mae Abhishek yn gweithio'n helaeth gyda phartneriaid diwydiannol fel Airbus, Mistras, Testia a Centregreat Rail ar ymchwil ryngddisgyblaethol sy'n cwmpasu pynciau efeilliaid digidol sy'n cael eu llywio gan ffiseg, dysgu peiriannau tebygolrwydd, adnabod system, Monitro Iechyd Strwythurol, technegau acousto-ultrasonic, dynameg strwythurol, cyfrifiadura perfformiad uchel, cyfrifiadura ymylon a meintioli ansicrwydd peirianneg.
Mae wedi derbyn nifer o wobrau ac anrhydeddau drwy gydol ei yrfa academaidd ac mae'n gwasanaethu ar fwrdd golygyddol y Journal of Non-Destructive Techniques ASME. Mae wedi bod yn llwyddiannus iawn wrth sicrhau cyllid cystadleuol gan EPSRC, yr Academi Beirianneg Frenhinol, Newton, Innovate UK, Llywodraeth Cymru, Airbus, ymhlith eraill. Mae ganddo dros 50 o gyhoeddiadau gwyddonol ac mae'n teithio'n helaeth i draddodi darlith mewn cynadleddau a seminarau rhyngwladol o fri.
Yng Nghaerdydd, mae'n rhagori mewn ymchwil ryngddisgyblaethol ar ryngwyneb pynciau sylfaenol ar fodelu cyfrifiadol a meintioli ansicrwydd Bayesaidd. Mae ei ymchwil yn rhychwantu pob agwedd ar ymchwil o theori sylfaenol mewn dulliau modelu tebygolrwydd, ac AI i brosiectau diwydiannol cymhwysol ar draws peirianneg sifil, awyrofod a mecanyddol.
- Modelu cyfrifiadurol a gefell ddigidol mewn cymwysiadau uwch-dechnoleg gyda thechnegau ML sy'n seiliedig ar ffiseg gan gynnwys modelu gorchymyn llai i gael model llyfn, rhyngweithiol mewn amser real.
- Meintioli Ansicrwydd (UQ) mewn mecaneg peirianneg gyfrifiadurol wrth ddylunio, graddnodi a rhagfynegi perfformiad systemau peirianneg ymarferol i sicrhau bod eu gweithrediad glân a di-ffael yn berthnasol i ystod eang o gymwysiadau gan ddechrau o ddylunio strwythurau awyrofod o dan ansicrwydd i broses weithgynhyrchu ddigidol aml-lwyfan.
- Monitro Iechyd Strwythurol ar gyfer cymwysiadau awyrofod a sifil lle mae systemau monitro seiberffisegol wedi'u llywio gan ffiseg yn cael eu hintegreiddio o fewn fframwaith IOT trwy nodau cyfrifiadurol ymylol ar gyfer monitro strwythurol amser real.
- Mae rheolaeth weithredol o ddirgryniad a sŵn yn hanfodol i sicrhau canslo dolen gaeedig gadarn, amser real dirgryniad / sŵn strwythurol hyd yn oed o dan amodau gweithredol a llwytho newidiol.
