Rwy'n Uwch-ddarlithydd mewn peirianneg fecanyddol, yn gweithio gyda'r grŵp ymchwil Mecaneg Gymhwysol a Chyfrifiannol. Rwy'n gweithio gyda phartneriaid diwydiannol a cholborators academaidd ar bynciau Monitro Iechyd Strwythurol, Tonnau Uwchsonig a meintioli Ansicrwydd Peirianneg. Mae yna swyddi ymchwil ac efrydiaeth PhD sydd ar gael yn ein grŵp ymchwil. Mae gen i dros 40 o gyhoeddiadau mewn cyfnodolion rhyngwladol, trafodion cynadleddau, penodau llyfrau a thraethodau.
Fy mhrif ddiddordebau ymchwil yw -
- Mae angen Meintioli Ansicrwydd (UQ) mewn mecaneg peirianneg gyfrifiadurol wrth ddylunio, graddnodi a rhagfynegi perfformiad systemau peirianneg ymarferol i sicrhau eu gweithrediad glân a di-ffael. Mae hyn yn canfod ceisiadau mewn ystod eang o feysydd gan ddechrau o ddylunio dan ansicrwydd i broses weithgynhyrchu ddigidol aml-lwyfan.
- Mae Monitro Iechyd Strwythurol yn faes arwyddocaol o ddiddordeb yn enwedig ar gyfer cymwysiadau awyrofod lle byddai systemau monitro deallus ar gyfer strwythurau sydd wedi'u hintegreiddio o fewn fframwaith IOT yn helpu i ddatblygu a gweithredu'n ddiogel yn methu strwythurau craff nesaf.
- Mae rheolaeth weithredol o ddirgryniad a sŵn yn hanfodol i sicrhau bod dirgryniad/sŵn strwythurol yn cael ei ganslo mewn amser real, hyd yn oed o dan amodau gweithredol a llwytho sy'n newid.
- Mae modelu cyfrifiadol a gefell ddigidol yn derbyn sylw cynyddol mewn cymwysiadau uwch-dechnoleg oherwydd ei fod yn galluogi efelychu gweithrediad cynnyrch mewn amgylchedd rhithwir mewn gofod parametrig sy'n dal nodweddion dylunio ac amodau gweithredol. Mae hyn yn gofyn am dechnegau modelu cyfrifiadurol datblygedig gan gynnwys modelu trefn llai i gael model llyfn, rhyngweithiol mewn amser real.
