Ar hyn o bryd, mae ei ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar fodelau mathemategol ar gyfer plismona, diogelwch a diogelwch personol. Mae'n cydweithio'n weithredol ag asiantaethau gorfodi'r gyfraith ar brosiectau gan gynnwys plismona rhagfynegol, patrolio craff, ac atal ffemicidau.
Hefyd, mae gan Federico brofiad ymchwilydd perthnasol mewn Rheoli Trychinebau a Logisteg Ddyngarol . Mae wedi cymhwyso modelau mathemategol i liniaru effaith trychinebau naturiol a bwriadol ac i gynllunio ar gyfer gweithrediadau ymateb brys.
