Teams and roles for Federico Liberatore
Senior Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics
Overview
Federico Liberatore is a Senior Lecturer in Data & Knowledge Engineering at the School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University. He is also a Fulbright Alumnus and the recipient of several research awards. His main areas of expertise are Combinatorial Optimization and Data Science.
Presently, his research focuses on mathematical models for policing, security, and personal safety. He is actively collaborating with law enforcement agencies on projects including predictive policing, smart patrolling, and femicides prevention.
Also, Federico has relevant researcher experience in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Logistics. He has applied mathematical models to mitigate the effect of natural and intentional disasters and to plan for emergency response operations.
Finally, Federico is applying ad hoc Machine Learning models to detect life-threatening conditions and estimate their severity and the risk for patients.
