Mae Qin yn Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Dynameg Cadwyn Gyflenwi yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, lle enillodd ei PhD. Mae ei brif ddiddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar gynllunio cynhyrchu, rheoli stocrestrau, contractau cadwyn gyflenwi, dylunio rhwydwaith cyflenwi, a rhagweld.
Mae ganddo brofiad o ddarparu addysgu, gweithdai a hyfforddiant i israddedigion, ôl-raddedigion a chynulleidfaoedd gweithredol. Mae wedi derbyn cydnabyddiaeth gan lywodraeth Tsieina am fyfyrwyr rhagorol a noddir gan y llywodraeth dramor yn 2014.
Cyn ei yrfa academaidd, bu'n gweithio mewn cwmnïau rhyngwladol am chwe blynedd, gan gynnwys cynhyrchu, logisteg, perthnasoedd cwsmeriaid, caffael a systemau gwybodaeth reoli.
