Trosolwyg
Mae Maryam yn Uwch Ddarlithydd (Athro Cyswllt) Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi Cynaliadwy yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd, Prifysgol Caerdydd. Hi yw Dirprwy Bennaeth Adran Ymchwil, Effaith ac Arloesi ar gyfer Rheoli Logisteg a Gweithrediadau (LOM). Hi yw cyd-sylfaenydd a chyd-gyfarwyddwr Modern Slavery and Social Sustainability Research Group.
Mae ymchwil academaidd Mary yn canolbwyntio ar gadwyni cyflenwi cynaliadwy, gan ganolbwyntio ar faterion cymdeithasol gan gynnwys caethwasiaeth plant, caethwasiaeth fodern, hawliau gweithwyr, materion sy'n ymwneud â rhywedd a gwaith gweddus. Mae hi wedi cyhoeddi papurau gwahanol mewn cyfnodolion wedi'u dyfarnu ac mewn cynadleddau rhyngwladol.
Mae Maryam yn rownd derfynol gwobrau amrywiol a arfarnwyd gan y Brifysgol a'r diwydiant ar lefelau cenedlaethol y DU a Chymru:
1. Gwobr Unigolyn y Flwyddyn Gwobrau Go Cenedlaethol y DU 2023/2024 am "Hyrwyddwr Caffael Moesegol: Cydnabod Rhagoriaeth mewn Ymwybyddiaeth o Gaethwasiaeth Fodern a Chaffael Cynaliadwy Cymdeithasol".
2. Gwobr Effaith Unigol Caethwasiaeth fodern nas gwelwyd 2023. Mae'r gwobrau'n ceisio cydnabod y rhai sydd wedi arwain wrth fynd i'r afael â chamfanteisio ar weithwyr.
3. Profiad Dysgu Mwyaf Eithriadol yng Ngwobrau Cyfoethogi Bywyd Myfyrwyr 2024 ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd.
4- Gwobr Rhagoriaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd 2024 yng nghategori cenhadaeth ddinesig ac ymgysylltu â'r cyhoedd.
Mae Maryam yn meddu ar PhD mewn rheoli cadwyni cyflenwi ac MRes mewn Rheolaeth y ddau o Bayes (Cass) Ysgol Fusnes, City University Llundain. Mae ganddi hefyd MSc mewn Peirianneg Ddiwydiannol o Brifysgol Sharif a BSc mewn Peirianneg Fecanyddol o Brifysgol Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg Iran yn Tehran.
Mae Maryam yn rhan o "Fforwm Gwrth-gaethwasiaeth Cymru" Llywodraeth Cymru, yn y "Gadwyn Gyflenwi a'r Grŵp Rhyngwladol.". Cyd-gadeiriodd Maryam Cynhadledd Gwrth-Gaethwasiaeth 2023 .Yn ogystal, cadeiriodd Maryam gaethwasiaeth fodern a ffrydiau cynaliadwyedd cymdeithasol mewn cynadleddau rhyngwladol fel POMS (2019, 2023) ac IPSERA 2022.
Mae gan Maryam hanes o gyhoeddiadau mewn cyfnodolion o ansawdd uchel, a cheisiadau ariannu llwyddiannus. Daeth yr arian o gronfeydd mewnol Cymru Fyd-eang, ESRC a Phrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae'r prosiectau'n canolbwyntio ar gynnwys gwahanol wledydd a sectorau, megis ymchwiliadau ar lafur plant yn India; ymchwiliadau i reoli risg caethwasiaeth fodern yn y sector twristiaeth yn fyd-eang, neu brosiectau sy'n canolbwyntio ar y DU megis effaith COVID-19 ar safonau cyflogaeth ar draws cadwyni cyflenwi'r DU.
Mae gan Maryam brofiad o weithio gyda gwahanol sectorau, gan gynnwys y sector bwyd a diod, y sector lletygarwch, a'r diwydiant ceir. Mae hi hefyd yn gweithio gyda chyrff anllywodraethol, llywodraethau, ac undebau i allu mynd i'r afael â'r materion cymdeithasol yn y gadwyn gyflenwi trwy ddull aml-randdeiliaid.
Mae hi hefyd yn cydweithio ar wahanol brosiectau ymchwil gyda phrifysgolion gwahanol yn fyd-eang, gan gynnwys Ysgol Fusnes Montpellier, Prifysgol Johannesburg, Prifysgol Queensland, Prifysgol Strathclyde, ac Ysgol Fusnes Bayes, Prifysgol Dinas Llundain.

Addysgu
Mae Maryam yn angerddol am addysgu, mae hi hefyd yn Gymrawd yr Academi Addysg Uwch (FHEA). Cynlluniodd fodiwl newydd o "Gynaliadwyedd Cymdeithasol Cadwyn Gyflenwi" ar gyfer Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd, Rhaglen Gynaliadwyedd MSC, ac ar ei gyfer, mae'n gwasanaethu fel arweinydd modiwl o Ionawr 2021.
