Mae Dr Efi Mantzourani yn Athro yn Ysgol Fferylliaeth Caerdydd. Ymunodd â'r Ysgol yn 2011 fel darlithydd yn dilyn rhagoriaeth yn yr MSc a PhD mewn Cemeg Feddyginiaethol, wedi'i olynu gan yrfa mewn fferylliaeth gymunedol.

Mae hi'n angerddol am rymuso'r genhedlaeth nesaf o fferyllwyr i ddarparu dull gofal iechyd cyfannol. Mae ei gwaith locwm parhaus a'i chefndir clinigol a gwyddonol cymysg yn ei helpu i ddeall yr heriau sy'n gysylltiedig ag ymarfer clinigol a phroffesiynol ac yn llywio ei gwaith addysgu a'i gweithgarwch ysgolheigaidd; Mae integreiddio o'r fath yn meithrin datblygiad myfyrwyr fel gweithwyr proffesiynol myfyriol cymwys a hyderus. Mae hi'n cyfrannu ysgoloriaeth mewn ymarfer myfyriol a datblygu'r gweithlu. Mae hi wedi datblygu arbenigedd mewn ymarfer myfyriol, sydd wedi cefnogi datblygiad cyrsiau rhyngwladol (mewn Fferylliaeth ac Ysgolion eraill).

Mae ei hymchwil yn ymwneud â rheoli heintiau a darparu gwasanaethau fferylliaeth a alluogir gan dechnoleg: mae wedi darparu sylfaen dystiolaeth i Fyrddau Iechyd yng Nghymru a Llywodraeth Cymru ar gyfer comisiynu gwasanaethau fferylliaeth, sydd wedi trawsnewid ymarfer proffesiynol. Mae meysydd eraill o ddiddordeb yn cynnwys rhagnodi electronig, trosglwyddo gofal a'r gwasanaeth meddyginiaethau rhyddhau, integreiddio cofnodion cleifion meddygon teulu a fferylliaeth. Yn ddiweddar, mae hi wedi bod yn canolbwyntio ar werthuso'r prawf dolur gwddf cyntaf a ariennir gan y GIG a thrin gwasanaeth fferylliaeth gymunedol yn y DU.

Daw'r Athro Efi Mantzourani o gefndir cemeg feddyginiaethol ar ôl cwblhau MSc mewn Modelu Moleciwlaidd yng Nghaerdydd a PhD mewn Cemeg Feddyginiaethol yn Thessaloniki. Aeth i ymarfer fel fferyllydd yn y DU yn 2005, a chafodd ei phenodi'n ddarlithydd mewn Ymarfer Fferylliaeth yn 2011. Ers hynny, mae hi wedi bod yn dileu cydberthnasau cydweithredol gydag amrywiaeth o randdeiliaid mewn gofal sylfaenol ac eilaidd yn ogystal â'r trydydd sector. Ym meysydd ymchwil y gwasanaethau iechyd, canolbwyntia ar ddarparu gwasanaethau a alluogir gan dechnoleg. I have been module leader for years 1 and 4 in the past. Currently I am module leader for the professional development modules in the course. My duties mainly involve supporting students during their reflective journey and transition to independent healthcare practitioners, in preparation for their future career.

I contribute in a range of teaching and assessment activities throughout all four years of the MPharm curriculum. I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects, and I regularly participate as an assessor in post-graduate and pre-registration OSCEs.

My methodological expertise lies in action research with current focus on optimising practice-based learning. My scholarship is focussed in designing, implementing and evaluating innovative opportunities for exposure to practice via role-emerging placements.
