Mae'r Athro Marshall yn Wyddonydd Clinigol cofrestredig yn y wladwriaeth sy'n arbenigo mewn Meddygaeth Niwclear, Cynhyrchu Radiofferyllol, Rheoli Ansawdd a Tomograffeg Allyrru Positron. Ymunodd yr Athro Marshall â PETIC yn 2010 i ymgymryd â swydd Cyfarwyddwr Gweithrediadau ar ôl treulio 6 blynedd fel Pennaeth Radioisotopau yng Ngogledd Iwerddon a chyn hynny bu'n gweithio yn Lincoln ac Aberdeen. Yn 2013, cafodd yr Athro Marshall ei ddyrchafu'n Gyfarwyddwr PETIC yn 2013 ac ers hynny mae wedi cynyddu trwybwn cleifion a gweithgarwch ymchwil yn sylweddol yn y cyfleuster.
Yn 2000, dechreuodd yr Athro Marshall PhD rhan-amser gyda Phrifysgol Aberdeen a chyflwynodd ei draethawd ymchwil yn llwyddiannus ar rôl Delweddu Moleciwlaidd mewn Monitro a Rhagfynegi Ymateb Canser y Fron i Cemotherapi Neoadjuvant yn 2004.
Mae prif gyflawniadau yr Athro Marshall yn cynnwys dylunio, comisiynu a rheoli'r prosiect cyfleusterau meddygaeth niwclear newydd yn Ysbyty Brenhinol Victoria a Chanolfan Ganser Gogledd Iwerddon a'r cyfleusterau cyclotron yn Belfast a Chaerdydd yn ogystal ag arwain ar gyflwyno gwasanaeth PET Cymru gyfan a chynhyrchu sawl radiotraciwr a radiometalau newydd.
