Trosolwyg
Mae Galina Miazhevich yn Uwch Ddarlithydd yn yr Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth, y Cyfryngau a Diwylliant ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, y DU. Ar hyn o bryd mae Galina yn arwain grant AHRC (2018-2020) yn archwilio cynrychioliadau cyfryngau o rywioldeb an-heteronormadol yn Rwsia.
Cyn ymuno â JOMEC ym mis Ionawr 2018, roedd Galina Miazhevich yn ddarlithydd yn Ysgol y Cyfryngau, Cyfathrebu a Chymdeithaseg ym Mhrifysgol Caerlŷr (2012-2017). Cyn hynny Galina oedd Cymrawd Ymchwil Cyfryngau Gorbachev ym Mhrifysgol Rhydychen, y DU (2008-2012). Derbyniodd Galina ei Ph.D. o Brifysgol Manceinion, lle bu'n gweithio am ddwy flynedd fel Cydymaith Ymchwil ar brosiect a ariennir gan AHRC ar gynrychioliadau o Islam fel bygythiad diogelwch.
Mae diddordebau ymchwil Galina yn cynnwys cynrychioliadau cyfryngau o Islam ac amlddiwylliannedd yn Ewrop; y cyfryngau a democratiaeth yn Ewrop ôl-gomiwnyddol; rhywedd, cyfryngau a ffurfiau newydd o hunaniaeth ôl-Sofietaidd; Diaspora, trawsgenedlaetholdeb a'r cyfryngau. Mae Galina wedi cyhoeddi'n helaeth mewn cyfnodolion a adolygir gan gymheiriaid ac wedi cyd-ysgrifennu sawl monograff. Mae hi hefyd yn gwasanaethu ar fyrddau golygyddol sawl cyfnodolyn cyfryngau rhyngwladol, ac yn adolygu'n rheolaidd ar gyfer cyfnodolion blaenllaw ym maes cyfathrebu, y cyfryngau, diwylliant ac astudiaethau maes.
