Mae Dr Wenlong Ming (WM) wedi bod yn Ddarllenydd Electroneg Pŵer Lled-ddargludyddion ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd ers mis Awst 2023. Dyfarnwyd gradd PhD iddo o Brifysgol Sheffield ym mis Mawrth 2016 ac fe'i hariannwyd gan EPSRC fel ysgolhaig cyfnewid i ymweld â'r Ganolfan Systemau Electroneg Pŵer (CPES) yn Virginia Tech UDA, am bedwar mis yn 2012. Ef yw'r Arweinydd Thema ar electroneg pŵer lled-ddargludyddion ar gyfer Sefydliad Arloesi Sero Net Prifysgol Caerdydd.
Mae'n cynnal ymchwil sylfaenol a chymhwysol i gylchedau a systemau electronig yn y dyfodol. Mae newid paradeim o dechnoleg lled-ddargludyddion o silicon i lled-ddargludyddion cyfansawdd (CS) yn dod â chyfle cyffrous i wella effeithlonrwydd, dibynadwyedd a dwysedd pŵer cylchedau a systemau electronig o'r fath yn sylweddol ac i alluogi cymwysiadau newydd na all silicon eu cefnogi. Amcan lefel uchel ei ymchwil yw ymchwilio i sut i ddatrys heriau ymchwil ac arloesi y tu ôl i'r newid paradeim hwn trwy integreiddio rheolaeth yn ddi-dor ac yn gyfannol, electroneg pŵer, electroneg radio-amledd, ffiseg lled-ddargludyddion a deunyddiau.

Derbyniodd radd Ph.D. mewn Rheolaeth Awtomatig a Pheirianneg Systemau o Brifysgol Sheffield, Sheffield, y DU, yn 2015. Ef yw enillydd Gwobr Traethawd Hir Doethurol Rheoli ac Awtomeiddio IET yn 2017. Mae wedi bod yn Uwch-ddarlithydd Electroneg Pŵer ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, y DU, ers mis Awst 2020 ac yn Uwch Gymrawd Ymchwil a ariennir gan Catapult Cymwysiadau Lled-ddargludyddion Cyfansawdd (CSA), y DU, am 5 mlynedd ers mis Ebrill 2020.
Roedd yn aelod o'r Ganolfan Power Electronics Systems (CPES), Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, UDA yn 2012 fel ysgolhaig gwadd academaidd. Mae (cyd-)wedi ysgrifennu mwy na 50 o bapurau a gyhoeddwyd mewn cyfnodolion blaenllaw neu gynadleddau IEEE wedi'u dyfarnu. Mae ei ddiddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar systemau Foltedd Canolig DC ar gyfer rhwydweithiau dosbarthu trydan a chymeriad, modelu
